Congratulations to Dr. Taylor Burke on her second R01 grant!
Congratulations to Dr. Taylor Burke on receiving her second NIH R01 award, shared with Dr. Brooke Ammerman as Multi-Principal Investigators. A Mechanistic Analysis of the Transition from Nonsuicidal to Suicidal Self-Injury in Adolescent Girls seeks to identify the mechanisms linking nonsuicidal self-injury to suicidal thoughts and behaviors in adolescent girls. Congratulations to Rachel on receiving an NIH K23 Award and on completing her postdoctoral fellowship a full year ahead of schedule! Rachel’s K23, “Sleep and Circadian Timing Irregularities as Short-term Risk Factors for Adolescent Suicide: An Intensive Longitudinal Study,” focuses on improving short-term prediction of suicidal thoughts and behaviors in adolescents by examining how sleep and circadian rhythm disruptions contribute to suicide risk. Ella starting MPH program at Columbia University in Fall 2026
Ella has accepted an offer from the Master of Public Health program at Columbia University. She has also received The Ray E. Trussell, MD, Fellowship, a prestigious insitutional fellowship. Congratulations to Ella for her accomplishments and this great news!
